Canon Abilities: HERE WE GO......if she needs to be nerfed, by all means.
Wanda has a myriad of abilities that seem to keep evolving the longer she remains in the MCU. It began with telekinesis and mind control, and has evolved into something a lot more complicated and powerful. Here's a quick list (I linked the abilities wiki above that has a far more thorough breakdown), and here is some more information about her Chaos Magic.
★ flight/levitation
★ energy manipulation
★ telekinesis
★ neuroelectric-interfacing: mind control/telepathy/emotional/mental manipulation. This allows her to both read thoughts and also give her targets waking nightmares, and also ties into reality manipulation/warping.
★ disintegration
★ conjuration/transmutation
★ electricity manipulation
★ biological transmutation (life creation)
★ energy absorption
★ astral projection
★ teleportation
★ time and weather manipulation
★ protection spell (magic runes)
★ magic and energy absorption
Role: Myth
Role Qualities/Attributes: Two very small little 'horns' that are similar to her Scarlet Witch cap, red eyes, and retractable fangs.
Role Reasoning: Wanda is one of those characters that isn't entirely treated fairly - yeah, she's screwed up, she's made some mistakes, but other male characters can do far worse, but she's the one labeled a terrorist. That's fucked up.
Still, it gets to her, and her view of herself is pretty in line with the Myth role - she can be reckless when angry, arrogant because her powers are so, so powerful, and she doesn't always use them for good. She's a malleable character, and can swing easily towards good or evil. She just fits the mythos (lol) so perfectly I can't imagine her in any other role.
★ Personality ★
Option 2. Choose FOUR-FIVE of the following questions to answer and expand upon. You may choose a fifth question if you feel it is integral to your character's personality. Each answer has a 100-300 word requirement.
OPTION 2 QUESTIONS (PICK 4-5) 100-300 WORD LIMIT EACH:
What was the most traumatic experience your character endured? How did this change them?
It's honestly a toss up between losing her family, losing her brother, and losing Vision. Each one has led to cracks in her mind, each one fracturing her a little more, slowly but surely. Every death that she has faced has led her towards a darker path, Vision's loss shattering her so completely she created an entire mini 'universe' of a perfect life, complete with Vision, children, and nosy neighbors.
Initially, after Wanda joins the Avengers she mellows considerably. She rarely deals out lethal force unless totally necessary, though with ALL Avengers, there is collateral damage when it comes to her powers.
Again, though - it's more Wanda on the chopping block than anyone else.
Still, she's fairly successful with her power usage, and often uses them more to incapacitate her opponents than to kill.
What is the most important and defining relationship(s) in your character's life and why?
At this point, it is Vision. He challenged her to do better, be better. When Wanda was with him, she felt like the best version of herself, like she could finally be herself. Wanda has always wanted to fit in, and even with the Avengers she never quite felt like she belonged. She was an outside, an outcast. An orphan with no family, her parents long gone and brother lost in the fight with Ultron. Vision saw her, felt her, only her, and it gave her strength and courage to really be herself, to want to be good.
Is your character capable of forgiveness or will they hold a grudge until they die? Would anything ever make them change their mind?
It's kind of hard to say with Wanda. I'm not sure that she's an entirely forgiving person, but she does end up letting her grudge against Tony go, even though he locked her in her room in Civil War. She knows, in the end, that they are all on the same side - especially once everyone realizes what's going on, what the Children of Thanos are after for him.
I think she's very capable of holding a grudge until the end of time -despite coming to a certain peace with Tony, she held a LOT of rage in her heart for him for a very, very long time. It fueled her into volunteering for HYDRA, into working with Ultron, into nearly obliterating mankind alongside him.
What would your character sacrifice to get what they want or to reach their potential? What have they sacrificed already?
Haaahaha...oh man.
Wanda would...be willing to sacrifice a lot. She was willing to sacrifice her life to get back at Tony Stark; she is threadbare when she and Pietro volunteer for the experiments, and both twins underwent incredibly intense intense physical, mental, and emotional stress. It's a pretty good indication of just how far Wanda is willing to to and the pieces of herself she's willing to sacrifice to get what she wants, to get revenge.
Her tactics in regards to the Avengers (initially) are pretty creepy; she confronts them when they are separated from one another, slipping into their heads and learning their weaknesses before turning said weaknesses against them. This tactic is fairly insidious, and says quite a bit in regards to her powers, and how insane they really are - and it's important to note what she gave up (and what pieces of herself she sacrificed) to obtain something so powerful, almost monstrous in nature.
In her grief of losing Vision, she sacrificed the mental sanity of an entire fucking town. If she thinks that rising to her true potential includes the possibility of Vision and her children, there's literally nothing she wouldn't be willing to give up or sacrifice. She's a Myth, a Scarlet Witch, so she's chaotic good. Sometimes. Neutral might be a better word for it.
